… And That Girl| Poetry

I stared at the girl standing before me

dressed in black jeans and a brown vest top

Her oversized coat wrapped around her slim body

Her short hair stood unkempt

She rolled her eyes trying to fluff it out,

but failed miserably

She looked nervous.

The small frown on her sparce eyebrows

was proof enough…

I knew how much she despised the idea of going out

It was too crowdy for her liking

Maybe if she smiled, she’d look more relaxed

Just as I thought that, a strained smile etched itself on her plump lips

Everything about her stance screamed discomfort

And that girl is me!
Over To You …
