DIY| Colgate and Vaseline Face Paste To Make Pimples Less Noticeable

I always use toothpaste on pimples as it contains ingredients that are drying agents. You probably know someone who uses toothpaste on pimples or you use it on your face to get rid of pimples and acne scar so this shouldn’t be new to you. I use Vaseline on the other hand to moisturise my skin as it’s thick it locks in moisture thus cancelling out the fact that toothpaste can dry out the skin ( I know not the best logic but it works so move over!)

What You’ll Need

  • White Toothpaste – I’ll be using Colgate
  • Vaseline petroleum jelly

Steps To Take

Put a small amount of Colgate in a bowl then add the same proportion of Vaseline in and mix really well until they are well combined.

Cleanse your face thoroughly and pat dry, then thinly apply the paste and spread it all over your face.

Let it dry; preferably ten minutes, then rinse it off using warm water

This remedy makes pimples less noticeable. It also helps reduce the inflammation and redness that always comes with pimples (If done twice a week for a month)

PS: I wouldn’t recommend this to people with sensitive skin, before applying you need to do a taste patch on your chin to see whether it irritates your skin or not.

Over To You …

Have you tried this combo yet? Were the results positive or negative?

Thank you for reading. New post every Tuesday and Saturday.

With Love,

  1. Glad to see someone else using toothpaste πŸ™‚ My friends and family think I’m weird but it’s always worked for me. Not sure if the vaseline will help because my skin is so stupid and sensitive and reacts to everything, but I’ll definitely try it out in a small section. Great post πŸ™‚
