Joe Karani is about to take over the creativity charts. Not only is he ambitious and hardworking, he is also a profound content creator. Architecture student by day and an all-round 21-year-old opportunity chaser. I came across his YouTube channel early this year and I kid you not, I’m hooked!
This gentleman was kind enough to make time for this interview via mail and here’s what he had to say:-
In 3 words, how would you describe yourself to a panel of fellow content creators?
Ambitious, Fun, Tenacious
Introduce yourself to the readers/ tell us about yourself and what exactly you do?
Well I’m Joe Karani, a content creator and Architecture student. Content creating was never a plan I had in mind but it just happened and I’m really enjoy it.
What is the one thing most people don’t know about you (but you’d want people to know)
I’m really good with my hands and enjoy building things ever since I was a kid.
What inspired you to start your own YouTube Channel?
Well I just wanted a platform to let my creativity flow
How do you think your friends (IRL) versus your YouTube viewers would describe you?
I think my friends think I’m calm and chill while my YouTube family think I’m hype
What are some of the brands you hope to work with, in the next 3 months?
I’d love to work with Tech brands like Samsung, Sony and Media outlets like NRG. I’ve always been interested in radio.
How do you market yourself? Get people to view your content?
It started by sharing links with friends and now I’m just trying to make great content that people enjoy and feel the need to share it.
Apart from making videos on YouTube, what are some of your other interests and passions?
Real estate & Development / Economics/ Marketing/ Music
How do you balance your school work, personal life and making videos?
Trust me, I’m still figuring it out!
You are a self-proclaimed African Prince, how did that come about?
I’m proudly African and when we go international I want it to be one thing I’m known for
Who are the 3 people living or dead that inspire you the most?
What advice would you give your 15 years old self?
Don’t let the world influence who you are – do you bruv!
If you were to have coffee with someone (preferably a stranger who admires your work) who looks up to. What are the three things you’d hope to impact on them?
Motivation and drive comes from within, dare take the road less traveled and get out of your comfort zone – nothing is promised.
